Traditional Tswana Dresses 2020
The planning process was long, frustrating and kept me anxious until the last moment. i’m very thankful to everyone who contributed and took time off their busy schedules to assist in making our traditional Tswana dresses 2020 a fairytale come true.
If you were to explain your wedding in 7 words what would they be?
I would say it had been “Out of this world, relevant and significant, pleasing and fulfilling, and magnificent”
My hubby says he would use: “Exquisite, Marvelous, Outstanding, and Exhilarating”.
Culture
Firstly, we are both Lutherans by religion and thus we followed the norm of tying the knot at our church which made our parents very happy. We are also both Tswana, therefore the second day was Setswana inspired, from the deco, the food and to the songs that were wont to praise us as i used to be welcomed by my in-laws. We ended the day perfectly with being dressed into the honorary Setswana traditional wear mentioned as Lletoitsi, which symbolizes my status as a Motswana wife .
Favourite a part of The Day
It has to be once we exchanged our vows which we had to organize ourselves, aahhh…his response at the reception was also very genuine and heartfelt.
The Dress
My dress was actually the last item on the design list and that i am unsure how it happened. I wanted it to be simple, elegant and breathtaking. once I started trying to find dresses one thing I knew needless to say was that I wanted the mermaid or trumpet shape to point out off my beautiful body. I had the 2nd white gown fittings at Pronovias Veil Bridal Couture Wedding Dresses Privonias and decided that Gert Johan Coetzee would be the right solution and he didn’t disappoint me. it had been the simplest .
Splurges/Saves
Actually went all out, we wanted everything to be beautiful and didn’t compromise on anything.
Advice
Take time to understand what their hearts desire, and make sure that they always put themselves first.
